With all the free BlackBerry offers out there it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of them. For this reason we have decided to create a ‘Free BlackBerry‘ category and directly link to all the free BlackBerry offers that we can find. You will still have to weed through them but at least with a Free BlackBerry category, they will all be in the same place.
Now, we want to make sure that everyone is aware that these free BlackBerry offers don’t mean that you are going to get a free BlackBerry without actually paying anything. That is a different kind of free all together. There is a distinct difference in the kind of free such as ‘Free Coffee in the break room’ or ‘The air that you are breathing right now is free’, as compared ‘Get a Free BlackBerry after you pay $150 for it, sign up for 2 years and over $1400 worth of voice and data plans, and wait 6 to 12 weeks to get a rebate for $150 that you can send in and wait another 6 to 12 weeks to get a check.
These free BlackBerry offers are great if you were already thinking about getting the exact model that is being offered to you for free. These are pretty good deals when you keep that in mind. Various BlackBerry devices cost anywhere from $150 to $400 so the $150 up front cost that you usually get a rebate for is not so bad.
Here is another free BlackBerry promotion, this time from America West Airlines, where you can get a free BlackBerry 7100T when you buy an airline ticket on AmericaWest.com and activate a qualifying T-Mobile service plan before October 31, 2005 December 31, 2005. (this offer has been extended)
Receive your BlackBerry 7100t when you select a new one-year voice and data T-Mobile service plan for a minimum of $59.98 per month with $100.00 mail-in rebate. With the largest data coverage in the nation, roaming in over 180 countries, and an award-winning commitment to customer satisfaction and quality, you’ll get more with your T-Mobile service plan.
It seems like the free BlackBerry deals come in waves. Here is one from Ameritrade that will get you a BlackBerry 7100t from Xview Technologies if you open up and account with a $10,000 balance.
This freebie deal is good for Individual and Joint Ameritrade accounts opened and funded with $10,000 or more by August 31st. At least a one-year qualifying data and voice plan from T-mobile is required as well.
My guess is that not too many people will open an Ameritrade account just to get a free 7100t, however, if you were already going to open an Ameritrade account, fund it with at least $10,000, and, are interested in BlackBerry 7100t with T-Mobile service, this is the deal for you.
Here is another one of those strange free BlackBerry promotions. Buy four tires from National Tire and Battery and get a free T-Mobile BlackBerry 7100t or 7230.
It looks like the folks over at NTB have teamed up with YourFreeBlackBerry.com to offer a free BlackBerry to anyone who buys 4 tires from NTB during the month of August. You can get your free BlackBerry in one of two ways. Either call 1.888.802.8587 with your invoice or log onto YourFreeBlackBerry.com with the following promo code: TKNTBMTA.
All requests must be made before September 30 and a one your voice and data plan from T-Mobile are required. Offer is good at participating NTB, Tire Kingdom, and Merchent’s Tire and Auto Centers.
Marriott is offering a free BlackBerry 7290 when you book a room on the Marriott hotel site. You pay $150 bucks up front, commit to a 2 year data and voice plan from Cingular that will run you around $75 a month, and pay a $36 activation fee.
You will receive a $150 mail-in rebate with your BlackBerry 7290 which you should get a check for after about 6 weeks. The 7290 costs about $350 normally so this is a pretty good deal if you were on the market for a BlackBerry anyway and want to use Cingular.
The voice and data plan includes…
- Unlimited email
- 450 anytime minutes
- 5000 night and weekend minutes
- Unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling
