Let me first say that I don’t think, nor have I ever really thought that BlackBerry service will be shut down in the United States. Can you imagine the chaos and disruption to American businesses if it were to? These devices are so popular that the brand BlackBerry has started to surpass the device itself kind of like how everyone used to call any PDA regardless of the manufacturer a Palm Pilot. These days, if it is PDA with a QWERTY keyboard, it is just referred to as a BlackBerry or BlackBerry “like” device.
It is quite amazing actually at how BlackBerry devices have completely changed the way mobile workforces operate in relatively such a short period of time. Email has become the business communication of choice. If someone leaves you a voice mail, you get back to them when you can. If someone sends you an email to your BlackBerry, many would stop mid sentence to fire off a reply. I would love to see some type of study that estimates the number of business transactions facilitated via the BlackBerry.

Here is another free BlackBerry offer courtesy of Russell Shaw from BBHub.
MBNA is offering a free BlackBerry 7290 to new and existing card holders. From what I can tell, all you have to do is wait to receive your special access code from your card issuer, order your BlackBerry 7290 using your MBNA credit card, wait a few weeks, and receive your BlackBerry.
Now, there is a whole page of fine print that goes over stuff like the 2 year service plan from Cingular that you need to sign up to and how you initially have to pay $150 to get the Blackberry 7290 before you get your mail-in rebate. This free BlackBerry offer truly does appear to be a free BlackBerry offer, however, because you don’t really have to buy anything to be eligible for this offer. You just have to have or sign up for an MBNA credit card.
RIMarkable.com reader Ryan Rife, let us know that Sears is offering a Free BlackBerry 7100g from Cingular if you make a home appliance or home electronics purchase of over $100 dollars on your Sears card.

In case this Free BlackBerry offer doesn’t tickle your fancy we have a whole list of Free BlackBerry offers for you to take a look at.
With the official start of the holiday shopping season being just one week away, I thought that it would be appropriate to list all of the Free BlackBerry offers that we are aware of.
Working backwards chronologically from the time that we initially posted we will list out all the offers that we think are still valid.
You can look through all the Free BlackBerry offers that we have ever posted about by looking through the Free Blackberry category, however, some of those offers have expired. If you are interested in an expired offer it may be worth your while to contact the company offering the free BlackBerry as these type of offers are often extended.
By the by… If you are aware of any Free BlackBerry offers that we don’t have on the list, let us know in the comments.
I just recently received an email from Royal Caribbean letting me know that if you book a cruise between this passed Tuesday, November 15th and the end of the year you would be eligible to receive a free RAZR mobile phone or a free BlackBerry 7100t, 7105t, or 7290.
To get the free BlackBerry, you have to book a trip to the Caribbean, Bermuda, or Mexico on one of five cruises, sign up to a T-Mobile contract, and buy a BlackBerry device for which you will receive a rebate. The offer is only valid if you live in the lower 48 or Hawaii.
I will say the same thing about this free BlackBerry offer as I say about all free BlackBerry offer. It is probably worth it if you were going to buy whatever service that the free BlackBerry is offered with, however, I wouldn’t book a cruise just to get the free BlackBerry.
AskMeNow, a service that allows users to quickly and easily access 411 listings, Weather, Movie Times, Sports Scores, Directions, Horoscopes, Travel Information, Stock Quotes and more all from their cell phone within moments, is making anyone who signs up to the service in December elgible to win their choice of three mobile devices including the BlackBerry 7290.

We first blogged about the NTB Free BlackBerry offer back at the beginning of August. Basically, you had to buy four tires and you could get a free BlackBerry from T-Mobile. Based on the original deal, you had to buy the tires during the month of August and submit your request by today, September 30th. I just heard a commercial this morning stating that you have until this Sunday to still get a free BlackBerry, so, if you are going to buy tires anyway this weekend, and want a BlackBerry, this is your last chance to get one for free from National Tire and Battery.
Just so you know, I don’t see the offer on the NTB.com website any longer. Make sure you ask to make sure that I didn’t just hear an old commercial. Also, take a look at the comments from the initial NTB Free BlackBerry offer. I guess that there were some hoops that customers wanting the free BlackBerry had to jump through.
I just saw an Amertrade commericial that was still offering a free BlackBerry 7100T when you sign up an account and fund it with $10,000. When we initially reported on this offer it ended August 31st, however, it has been extended thru October 5th.
Less the date extension, the Ameritrade free BlackBerry 7100 offer is pretty much the same as before. You can get more details directly from the Ameritrade site here.
