We aren’t sure how long this promotion has been going on or how long it will continue, however, as of right now T-Mobile is offering all of their current BlackBerry devices FREE to BlackBerry developers.

To get in on this deal all you have to do call T-Mobile at 1-866-464-8662 (select option 3) and mention promotional code 7490TMOFAV.

There is some ridiculously small fine print associated with T-Mobile’s RIM BlackBerry Developer Offer. It is so small that you can’t even make it out what it says without magnifying it, and, even then it is barely legible.

I believe that there is a $50 mail-in rebate and minimums on the month to month plan or 2-year service agreement that you sign up to.

Since you have to call T-Mobile to get this deal, make sure that you ask them about all the fine print that is impossible to read on the site to make sure that you don’t get stuck with something that you didn’t want.

I am sure the question that many of you have is…

Is the T-Mobile RIM BlackBerry Developer Offer really only for BlackBerry developers?

All that I can say is that there is a good chance that if you don’t bring it up when you call in, neither will T-Mobile…

Of the heels of a very popular buy one BlackBerry, get one BlackBerry free promotion that Verizon ran early this year before the BlackBerry Tour came out, Verizon is running another BlackBerry BOGO sale, this time with a twist…

The second device doesn’t have to be a BlackBerry.

It actually looks like Verizon is running two BOGO sales that overlap each other. There is the BlackBerry sale, and, also a BOGO sale on the HP Mini 1151NR Netbook where you can get any second device of equal or lesser value for free. In both cases 2-year activation plans are required, however, this is a heck of a deal and has done well for Verizon in its past iterations.

This promotion runs today through October 15th and you can get more information online or at your local Verizon Store.

Happy Back-To-School shopping…

That being said, the BlackBerry Bold must be just around the corner because you can find the BlackBerry Curve for free from many online retailers.

If you are a fan of Verizon’s network you can get yourself a BlackBerry Curve 8330 from Wirefly with a new Verizon Wireless account.

One of the more popular BlackBerry downloads out there is Facebook for BlackBerry Smartphones, which I believe has been downloaded several million times. As popular as Facebook for BlackBerry is, it was not without it intricacies.

The word “is” was hard coded into the status screen so whenever you wanted to change your status, the word “is” was always included after your name. Needless to say this annoyed all but 14 of the BlackBerry users that downloaded Facebook for BlackBerry.

To the 14 Facebook for BlackBerry using folks that actually like the hard coded “is” in the status screen, you can stop reading here. For everyone else, we are happy to report that the latest version of Facebook for BlackBerry comes without the hard coded “is”.

You can download the latest version of Facebook for BlackBerry OTA directly to your device right from the Mobile BlackBerry Home Page by visiting http://mobile.blackberry.com from your device’s BlackBerry Browser.
