I got an AT&T blackberry pearl and unlocked it to use with T-Mobile. I downloaded Opera Mini and it worked. Now I have my blackberry on AT&T and the browser works that comes with the phone. When I try to use Opera mini it doesnt work. Any suggestions?

It works with steve's changes.
As you can see from Opera Mini's interface, though, it's better suited for the nokia's and sony erisson's of the world with the two button menu nav. As a blackberry user, its very uncomfortable to load a menu screen just to click one of the two options I can see on screen.

Sites look a little better but you don't get full screen window and no iconography at the top for voicemails, text messages, etc.

BTW Once you finish the install procedure, you can remove the wap.voicestream.com line from your TCP setting - if you're paranoid like me.

i just got opera vs. 3.1 to work on my blackberry pearl. it was rather difficult to get it installed so i'll try to help those of you who seem to be having difficulty:

*do not open the opera application until you have completed these instructions.

1. after downloading opera mini browser vs. 3.1 go to "options" then "advanced options" and scroll down to "TCP". Select "TCP" and where it says "APN:______" enter "wap.voicestream.com". Leave the other fields blank.

2. make sure you save the chances you've made to options.

3. go back to the "advanced options" menu and select "applications". Scroll down to "Opera Mini 3.1" and push the menu button on your blackberry (the one with the blackberry logo on it next to the scroll wheel). Scroll to "edit permissions" and select that. Set all fields to "Allow" and then push the back button and save your changes to options.

4. run opera from your applications and allow it to setup.

please let me know if this works for you!
