Edocrab Spells Barcode Backwards: New Free Barcode Scanning App Out For The BlackBerry

Edocrab, which just happens to spell barcode backwards, is a new ad supported barcode scanning app for the BlackBerry that will let you scan product barcodes with your camera and get instant online price comparisons, user reviews, product images, video clips, and more.

Edocrab is a free BlackBerry application and you can download it by visiting www.edocrab.com from your device’s BlackBerry Browser.

    “Sorry, your device does not meet the hardware requirements for scanning barcodes. Please use the ‘Search’ feature to manually enter the barcode instead.” – total FAIL.

    Why even OFFER it for OS v4.5 devices if they can’t even use it?

    Same here, downloaded it to my 8100, with v4.5 and it would not work. It asked for me to manually input barcode number…….

    Um, fellas you have to put http:// in http link code in order to make it link to an outside page. http://www.rimarkable.com/www.edocrab.com/ doesn’t do anyone any good.

    Works with 9530. Bad Ass software to have. tried on two items and it worked good.

    I agree. It says my device doesn’t have the hardware necessary, & to input the barcode manually. I did it & it said some foor & clothing aren’t included.

    Worked and downloaded fine on my 8900. However, its so far 0-for-10 at recognizing the barcodes i scanned

    It is indeed a joke and why plan and clear rim doesn’t love us will get an I phone when contract is up its a joke blackberry is getting smacked around by the iphone .!!!!!!

    I have a non auto focus camera on my phone, but i just punch in the upc real quick and it works amazingly fast and well. Got me a new printer for a good deal! Can’t wait to get edocrab on my soon to be Bold2 😉
