Do You Know Of Any BlackBerry Storm Games?

December 8, 2008 by Robb Dunewood 15 Comments

I am going to paraphrase several dozen emails that I’ve gotten over the last couple of weeks.

Do you know of any games specifically designed for the BlackBerry Storm?.

Although there may be others, the only one that I know of is the lastest verison of Nintaii.  I think that, once they start coming out, you will see some really nice BlackBerry Storm games, so, what I would like to do is start a list of all BlackBerry Storm games so if you know of any, please list them here in the comments.

To be clear, we aren’t talking about any game that will run on the BlackBerry Storm, but, games that were specicially designed for the BlackBerry Storm.

First I need to get the Storm to get rid of the bugs before I can move on to games and other multimedia features. They should pay us heavy BB users for QA’ing the device for them. 🙂

There are several games developed especially for the Storm available from Concrete Software. http://www.concretesoftware.com
If you check the BlackBerry section and look at the description of a game, you see that some are compatible. I have tried the poker game and the Magic 8 Ball was amusing for a few days.

Yeah, I am totally game for getting paid for the QA… wonder why BB didn’t jump on the M$ bandwagon and install some sort of “User Experience Program” or something to that effect.

Sign me up.. I did get to playing that Nintaii game on my pc… and totally stoked about getting it on my Storm..

This one is cheap, and mildly entertaining. It was built for the Storm: TouchBubbles

When you think about it it is kind of a shame that not only are so few games available for the BlackBerry Storm but applications in general as well.

I know that more applications for the Storm are soon to come out but it seems like there should have been a bit more at the time that the device launched.

I went to crackberry.com and searched for games on the storm. I love solitaire and nothing I had was applicable. They do have a solitaire game that is compatiable along with a few others including some software. Check out the site, click on the storm when it asks for your phone and see what they offer. Hope this helps.

Marble Trap is a new game that is compatible with the BlackBerry Storm. You can download a free trial from nickelbuddy.com, or mobile.nickelbuddy.com on your BlackBerry browser.

Tiltris is a free Tetris-like game that uses the accelerometer. Amazing for the price tag.

I found a free Labyrinth game that uses the accelerometer on the Blackberry Storm. Also, you can either download it OTA or on your PC and transfer it with the desktop manager, which I have found very few games or apps allow you to do that.

Anyways, its a pretty cool game, and the accelerometer works very well with it.

First the storm freezes, then you get the upgrade, then it resets itself, then you get the upgrade, then you can’t find any games. Wtf! If I didn’t hate AT&T so bad I would get rid of this P0S and get a iphone. Everyone I know already got rid of there storms. And love it. God this phone drives me crazy.
