Digicel to Offer BlackBerry in Eight Caribbean Markets

July 12, 2005 by Robb Dunewood Leave a Comment

Digicel, the fastest growing mobile telecommunications provider in the Caribbean, and Research in Motion today announced plans to add BlackBerry to Digicel’s corporate customer offerings in the Caribbean.  BlackBerry service will be available in Aruba, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and St. Lucia.

There is no word on which BlackBerry model(s) will be offered by Digicel, but Russell Shaw from BBHub thinks that it might be the BlackBerry 7100g because Digicel has applied to purchase Cingular Wireless Caribbean.
