Breaking News: Palm To Name Next Gen Device After Fruit To Increase Sales

October 19, 2007 by Robb Dunewood 3 Comments

The RIMarkable in-box gets crazy sounding emails from time to time and this one actually made me laugh out loud so I decided to post it.

After squarely being kicked in the seat of the pants by Apple with their launch of the iPhone and the continued success of Research in Motion’s BlackBerry, Palm, once the king of the hill in the smartphone industry, has decided to name all future next generation devices after fruit.

Expect the Palm Sapote in late Q1 next year. You know how the saying goes, if you can’t beat em, join em.

    Hey
Love your site! Just wanted you to know that although the Curve is free on Amazon.com, you will actually make $50 buy buying the TMobile BB Pearl!
Me? I’m waiting for the Verizon Pearl.
