I work in a lab that has absolutely no service, cant make calls or even send text messages or emails. No internet, nothing, and yet I have no rebooting issues. I can walk into the lab....lose service, walk out and bamn, everything is still fine. not sure about this rebooting issue you are having. I just got my phone 2 weeks ago, so maybe newer phone. I dont know. The only problem I had was the first day I got it, it froze. I took the battery out. Since then, nothing.

The problem with the Storm, from what I've been told, is a software bug in the OS that tells the phone to reboot if it loses a signal. If you live in an area where your phone is prone to signal drops, it's going to reboot. I live in Charlotte, and depending on where I am the phone may reboot a dozen times a day. Sitting here at my desk this morning, it has rebooted twice in about an hour. And it's annoying because the reboot takes 5-8 minutes usually. That's a pain to be without your phone that often, for that long. Especially if you, like me, are conducting business with the thing.

Changing your phone makes no difference. I've had the Storm since launch day and I'm on my third one now. All have had chronic reboot issues. All have had the same issue, and I have made my mind that there will not be a fourth.

Hopefully the next software update will have a fix built in. If not, I'll go back to my Worldphone, which was virtually problem free for the 3 years I had it. Outside of possibly sticking under the tire of my car to keep it from rolling while I change the oil, I'm starting to think the Storm has little use.

Needless to say I'm not super impressed with the Storm. I just haven't had time to do anything about it. Good luck to you with yours.

Eric, maybe you should try to return it for a new Storm before giving up on it. Maybe your particular phone is just a bad egg as mine doesn't seem to have any of the random reboot problems yours does.

After trying for almost a month, I have decided to return my Storm and go back to the Curve. There will surely be things that I miss about the Storm, but the Curve is a better phone at this point. Sometimes I will just be typing on the Storm and it reboots itself; quite annoying.

There is a market for this phone, but it isn't quite there for me yet. Hopefully the next model will be a more ready for prime time. I am very happy with a Curve for now. I won't be switching to an iPhone or anything like that.

I've had the update for a few days. I don't see any kind of Earth shattering difference. It appears to be a pretty minor patch.
