Like any other piece of equipment, you have to develop a technique to increase your speed. Nothing is wrong the storm. There is a such think as being user impaired.

I wonder if verizon would let us upgrade to the new storm when it comes out. I like my storm but if this is better and doesn't have the issues of the first one I would want it.

I've had my Storm from the get-go and have upgraded every leak hoping for a much better device. I never should have wasted my money on this POS. Don't even know if they will get it right with the Storm II - perhaps the Curve or Bold is the way to go?

I've got a storm and just love it. I've had plenty of pda phones
But RIM rocked this 1st release and I'm hooked now sp I'm sure
their next version will be bought by me. Only thing that
I can see that might be frustrating is if you have big, thick thumbs
Than this phone may not be for you. Then again what touchscreej
phone would suit you?

Can't wait to see next version...

I have had a lot of cell phones, smartphones, pda's, but non have lived up to my expectation like the storm 9530 has. I have to say when I first got it I was not sure about the touch/click. But now I have gotten used to it I love it. So if you have not had a BB Storm you should not say too much about it.

I totally agree with the editing feature in Black Berry Storm. I've been struggling with the text feature of Iphone especially if you are used to Nokia or Sony Ericsson brands.Wait till you see the integrated and WiFi feature and the improve SureTouch feature. These new features will definitely redeem Storm.

Btw, I just want to share this information I found which is definitely useful for Storm users. There is an All Blackberry Storm Apps that do not require any compatibility mode. It has a Cool Call Blocker application, useful tip calculator, Typing speed application, a bartender app that tells you what drinks you can make based on what you have in your kitchen and even a super-quick and bright flashlight app!

This is a must have for Blackberry Storm fanatics!

Your fellow posters could very well be Storm owners who expect more from RIM. Also RIM will "offer a new way to enter text" so it seems RIM nows they can do better with the screen too.

meh.. im sick of storm screen haters who dont actually own the storm.

Initial reviews were shaky.. but guess what!?!.. that was SEVERAL firmware releases ago.. my storm came with an updated firmware out of the box and had no issues. Sure there was a learning curve (just like ANY PDA any of you kiddies have a Palm pilot?) but after using it for a bit you get into the groove and can bang out a message with precision and accuracy just like any other device. I can say this with authority... because I own own... and I'm a phone whore.. ive had just about every flavor of phone. The storm kicks ass.

RIM would be smart to step outside the carrier walls and sell the Storm 2 (and other BB's) unbranded and direct.

With:
CDMA 850 / CDMA 1900
GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900
WCDMA 2100 / Bluetooth / GPS / and WiFi

They could sell a ton worldwide, reguardless of which service provider the consumer CHOSES uses it on.
