WordPress for BlackBerry has been updated to version 1.0 and is now available in BlackBerry App World.
Features include:
- Reworked UI layout for the main view, blog view, and media view.
- Ability to upload videos from your media library.
- New option to set media file properties (filename, caption, title, and position).
- Created a new file browser that resembles the native BlackBerry file browser.
- Big improvements in the speed at which you can view and manage comments.
- Lots of optimizations for uploading photos and videos using base64 encoding.
- Indonesian language support.
- Improved French language support.
We’ve known for a little while that a Sirius XM Radio client for BlackBerry was in the works. It is now available and you can pick it up here…

According to @JW, a.k.a., Josh Williams, founder and CEO of Gowalla, a location based travel game similar to FourSquare, a web based version of the application/game is coming to the BlackBerry.
Earlier today Josh Williams tweeted, “Oh wow. I just checked in from a BlackBerry Bold. BB users are going to be happy about this update to Mobile Web when it rolls.”
Gowalla is also working on a web client for Android, however, the version will have the benefit of HTML 5. It will be interesting to see what Gowalla can pull of in the BlackBerry Browser.

I don’t know how long the Facebook BlackBerry Wallpaper Generator has been around, but, it appears to be a Facebook app officially created by Research in Motion, and, I have to admit, is kind of cool.

Word on the street is Opera Mini, personally my favorite third party mobile web browser for BlackBerry, especially the BlackBerry Storm and Storm2, will launch in BlackBerry App World this quarter.

Many BlackBerry users, especially those using BlackBerry Messenger 5, are already familiar with Mobile Tags, or, QR Codes, as they are properly referred to. QR codes are a type of 2D barcode that can be scanned by most smartphones and even many feature phones allowing the user to access a website , contact information, product information, pretty much anything. QR Codes are widely popular in Japan, and, pretty much has become a global standard.
Microsoft has never let global standardization get in the way of “progress”, so, they have introduced their own Mobile Tag technology called Microsoft Tag.

There is a new version of Loopt for the BlackBerry out with some pretty cool new features… My favorite being the ability to launch Loopt directly from your contacts. The map is also its own tab now, making it easier to locate your friends.
