my blackberry pearl makes phantom phone calls from my hand! you can forget support, because to speak to blackberry support they ask you to pay in advance. my carrier (Sprint) of course claims that it is an issue which needs to go directly to blackberry support. when i finally spoke to someone at blackberry he wanted $49 to diagnose the problem.

By spec list you mean battery life? That was the only difference I saw unless I am missing it. I think GSM phones usually have better battery life than CDMA, in general. Or so I have read...

Robb,

the 8120 has a better spec list than the 8130.

8120 http://eu.blackberry.com/eng/devices/device-detail.jsp?navId=H0,C101,P624#tab_tab_specifications

8130 http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/device-detail.jsp?navId=H0,C101,P625#tab_tab_specifications

The 8130 is in some ways closer to the 8100.
