I know your post was some time ago .. but you could look at Bayalink Liberty. Its a PC interface to your BB. You could ALT+TAB over to Liberty and then send a PIN message to your guys using your PC screen and keyboard. We dont have a BB Messenger interface as rim locks that functionality down. That way it wouldn't matter if there was a handheld device attached to the PC at all.
