We thought that the Wal-Mart deal on the T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8520 for $48.88 was a good one. That was until we heard that Amazon is offering the Curve 8520 for 1 cent on a new 2-year contract.
If you are interested in getting a new T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8520 for practically free you would do yourself well to check out this deal at Amazon.
Something is telling me the the BlackBerry Curve 8520, expected to be available this Wednesday, Aug 5th, will sell pretty well. Now, I will qualify this by saying the it will sell pretty well by T-Mobile standards, however, with a sub $50 price tag at Wal-Mart, this device should do well with tweens that want to get a cool phone, but, their parent’s won’t shell out the cash for an iPhone.
Well, it looks like Verizon is either a) making room for a bunch of new handsets, b) trying to deal with the $99 iPhone 3G, or c) probably a combination of both a and b. Every smartphone that Verizon currently carries less the BlackBerry Tour and the Samsung Saga is now $99 or less on a 2-year activation.

It looks like now that just about everyone who was willing to spend $200 on a Palm Pre has, Best Buy has lowered their price down to $99.99 on a 2-year contract hoping to capture those consumers that couldn’t see spending twice as much as they would on an iPhone 3G.
Sprint should probably think about lowering their price as well. They really need to do everything they can to keep from churning customers over to AT&T and Verizon.

Just the other day we told you how Verizon is offering the BlackBerry Storm for $99, however, that isn’t the best deal in town for those singing up to new contracts.
AmazonWireless is offering the BlackBerry Storm for $49.99 on a new 2-year contract, but, the real deal is with Wirefly.com who is offering the Storm for $29.99 to new Verizon subscribers.
As I’ve said before, the BlackBerry Storm, deservedly so, got a lot of bad press until the latest update that now ships on the device came out a few months ago, however, now that RIM has put a proper OS on the BlackBerry Storm, it is not a bad device at all.
Verizon has dropped the price of the BlackBerry Storm 9530 down to $99 after $100 online discount on a 2-year contract. It would appear that Verizon is clearing out inventory as the release of they BlackBerry Storm 2 draws nearer.

Amazon just launched Amazon Wireless a few days ago and they are offering the best deal on the new Verizon BlackBerry Tour that we’ve seen. You can pick yourself up a brand new BlackBerry Tour 9630 for $99 with a new service plan.
