According to Port-Washington, New York based researcher, NPD, the BlackBerry Curve 83xx was the number one selling smartphone in the United States last quarter, again, edging out the iPhone 3G S and iPhone 3G which took 2nd and 3rd places respectively. The BlackBerry Storm and the BlackBerry Tour rounded out the top 5 following in the 4 and 5 spots.
There are several new BlackBerry devices out this quarter, namely the BlackBerry Storm2, BlackBerry Curve 85xx, and the BlackBerry Bold 9700. It will be interesting to see if the original Curve can maintain a spot in the top five.

Friggin’ amazing. I’m not sure how or even why, but I guess you can chalk it up to corporate America and the BOGO promotions. Business reps from the big 4 have to be giving these things away to corporations.
Easy reason for this. It’s available on all carriers and most are giving them away for pennies.
You lackberry addicts get all exited over the simplest stuff. Why don’t you take a look at something that really counts like profit margin. What good does it do to come in first place for sales if you aren’t making as much on each sale as who is in second place? This site is a farce. I don’t know why I even come here…
What goes through the mind of an iPhone user that feels the need to respond negatively on a BlackBerry forum to news about the BlackBerry outselling the iPhone? Is one’s sense of self so wrapped up in the device that it is taken personally when news, clearly void of any intent or malice, but, a statement of fact, is repeated? Id est, does it piss you off off that your beloved iPhone doesn’t sell as well as a 2 and a half year old BlackBerry?
