BlackBerry App World 2.0 Now Available

BlackBerry App World 2.0 has been officially released and is now ready for download.  Developers can now offer paid applications for $0.99 and $1.99, making App World 2.0 much more competitive with application stores on other platforms.  BlackBerry App World 2.0 also introduces BlackBerry ID which allows users to log in using their email address to access the new features of App World 2.0.

  • Credit card and wireless billing options
  • Barcode scanning capabilities
  • Apps starting at 99 cents
  • Streamlined My World view
  • New ‘Top 25’ lists

You can download BlackBerry App World 2.0 via the older version of App World, or, OTA by heading to http://www.blackberry.com/appworld via BlackBerry Browser.

      No doubt, and, it looks possibly like RIM is starting to include BlackBerry App World on new devices.

        My mom just picked up a Torch over the weekend as her upgrade, and the App World was pre-installed on it.
