BlackBerry 8820 Coming September 15th?

The word on the street is that the AT&T BlackBerry 8820 is set to be released next month on September 15th.

The BlackBerry 8820 is the Wi-Fi enabled cousin of the BlackBerry 8800 and there is also a rumor out stating that the Wi-Fi is locked unless the subscriber hooks up a data plan.

    I can’t believe that the wi-fi feature will be locked off without the purchase of the data package. This defeats the purpose of me wanting it because I’d rather be charged more for the unit itself than to pay an additional $30+ on top of my existing monthly bill…forget that! I would rather lug around my vaio labby…

    Even if they disable the WIFI it will be hacked in 48 hrs
