BlackBerry 8320, Yes. T-Mobile BlackBerry 8320, Maybe.

March 21, 2007 by Robb Dunewood 9 Comments

It looks like the Boy Genius has gotten his hands on a BlackBerry 8320, urrr ughm, the full QWERTY CameraBerry with Wi-Fi. This we know for sure.

It also looks like the BlackBerry 8320 will come out on T-Mobile. This we are not so sure about. The evidence after the jump, however, is convincing.

BG also found a couple of interesting modules loaded onto the BlackBerry 8320. Notice the T-Mobile BlackBerry theme and the T-Mobile MyFaves component which are both highlighted respectively.

This doesn’t really prove anything other than the BlackBerry 8320 actually exists, however, it does look like it may come out on T-Mobile.

Sweet! Perfect ‘upgrade’ for my nearly year old 8700g (which has been a great phone – look for it on eBay right after the 8320 comes out!).

There has been a lot of hype surrounding the Iphone but when you look at phones like this blackberry it has nothing. You can not load any programs you have created or that are created by others. If you want flash then the iphone is for you if you want usablility and flexabiliy this is a really good choice. Thanks for bringing this upgrade to light its great.

    Thanks

T-Mobile thru an Account Specialist (more knowledgeable than Customer Service Reps) has confirmed that T-Mobile will carry the next Blackberry Curve. She was not able to comfirm all the official details. ” Soon” was the estimated date, not willing to confirm the Sept 24, 2007 launch date.

I did read online that the Blackberry Curve 8320 will not have GPS (due to the priority to keep the unit thin) and may following specs:

    8320 rumored specs:
    # 3.2 megapixel camera (or better)
    # Flash improvement and 6x digital zoom
    # 3.5 mm Headset Jack
    # External microSD slot
    # Wi-Fi capable
    # 64MB of memory
    # Streaming media support
    # 4.5 hours of talk time/17 days of standby
    # Stereo Bluetooth
    # Windows Media DRM & MTP
    # Black or semi Black to be available at later date.
    # Top and rear loudspeaker
    # Motion Lock
    # High speed USB
    # Improved build quality

Don’t forget to sign up for the T-Mobile Router while it is free ($50 cost with a $50 mail in rebate). Also, if sign up for the Hotspot@Home service before Sept.4 ,2007 (not officially confirmed) will only be $9.99. After Sept 4, may be $19.99. If signed up before Sept 4, the $9.99 will be locked for the future.

I will be getting in line for the Blackberry Curve 8320 when it comes out myself.
