Some companies may consider an automatic forward to a non-corporate email a "firing offense", so check first.Good Luck

Jim,

In Lotus Notes, you can set up an automatic forward of all recieved emails to a secondary account (gmail, etc.) Unless your company supports Notes via POP3, this is the only way to do it, outside of BES. The screen would just flash briefly. I exchanged it for another Curve, and this phone will sometimes not turn off with the end button, so I use the menu "Turn Power Off". The first time I had to return to the store, where they showed me that i should pull the battery briefly to reset the phone. The next time that the phone wouldn't turn back on, I tried the battery pull with no luck. Now I have a new battery and hope this will work, but I'm really unsure if I should stick with a phone that has such difficulty with turning it on and off! Anyone else have this problem? My 30 day trial will be up soon!

I just got the Curve 8830 earlier this month, and after turning off my 4 day old phone, couldn’t turn it back on again, even while it was plugged in. The echo of my voice that is heard by my callers has been an issue on every phone, but varies by phone. My sprint rep called RIM to help me get to the bottom of this, and the only advice we received was that it sprint's network. While searching for a solution, I found many other folks dealing with the same issues AND they are both on sprints network and verizon's network. Hmmm. how can it be a network issue then ? no one else is having sprint network trouble in my area. I believe it is the phone. I have also tried to update the software and still nothing. Does anyone have any other ideas ?

I am now on my 4th blackberry 8830 world phone. First one had major issues with dropped calls. Second one has the same issues but also came with a loose keyboard and a washed-out, slightly-green-tinted display. It doesn't make any sense but the dropped calls seem to happen most often when the phone is also receiving data. Verizon tech says voice and data use two different networks/protocols and one shouldn't affect the other. I don't know much about this but anecdotally this is what seems to happen.Any suggestions? Is the 8830 a lemon or is my phone just a beautiful and unique snowflake? I cannot use this phone for business due to dropped calls in the frequency of several per day.

I’m waiting for my 3rd 8830 to arrive in the mail tomorrow.
