Verizon Places Full Page BlackBerry Storm Ad In The WSJ

Verizon placed a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal today. It basically says that the BlackBerry Storm is coming soon exclusively to Verizon.

We know nothing more than we knew yesterday with the exception that Verizon has a lot of marketing dollars to throw at full page ads that are marginal at best.

Verizon BlackBerry Storm Commercial On CBS

It looks like there was a Verizon BlackBerry Storm Commercial on during the CBS sitcoms on television last night. This wasn’t the viral BlackBerry Storm commercial that we posted earlier, but, an actual TV commercial that came on during prime time.

Has RIM actually officially announced the BlackBerry Storm yet? I don’t know that I’ve ever actually seen a BlackBerry commercial come out before RIM actually announces the device.

I am getting kind of excited.

It looks like the BlackBerry Storm is a World Phone…

Does Leaked Verizon Document Point To BlackBerry Storm Release Timeframe?

Engadget got their hands on an internal new device training schedule that may point to an early November release date for the BlackBerry Storm.

The online BlackBerry Storm course starts on October 17th and runs through November 2nd. One could conclude that if the Storm is released shortly after training is completed, we may see the device towards the beginning of November.

That Is One Good Looking Device…

I have to admit that the Verizon BlackBerry Storm is one awfully good looking device. I just wish that it had a keyboard.

How Will AT&T React To Not Getting The BlackBerry Storm?

We know that a CDMA only touchscreen BlackBerry is coming to North America. The BlackBerry Storm is rumored to hit Verizon anytime between the end of next month and mid November. A Bell BlackBerry Storm is rumored to hit bill towards the end of Q4.

We also know that a GSM variant of the BlackBerry Storm (or Thunder) is coming to Vodafone over in the UK, however, we haven’t heard any plans about the GSM touchscreen BlackBerry showing up in RIM’s biggest market.

I think that, at this point, it is safe call the AT&T BlackBerry Bold launch, or, lack there of, a complete debacle. Some of it is probably RIM’s fault but much of it, I believe, has to do with AT&T being the exclusive carrier of the iPhone in the U.S.

The fact still remains that AT&T is the worlds largest BlackBerry carrier and the most revolutionary BlackBerry to come out in the passed few years won’t make it on to their network.

I wonder how they will react to that…

Why Didn’t RIM Officially Announce The BlackBerry Storm At CTIA?

I wonder why Research in Motion didn’t take the opportunity to officially announce the BlackBerry Storm at CTIA last week?

I understand the concept of not letting the cat out of the bag, however, it seems like a mixed opportunity seeing how Verizon is doing their best to tell the world about the Storm not a full week after the close of CTIA.

First it was an internal BlackBerry Storm video. Then came an actual website. I really don’t see why RIM didn’t just announce the Storm last week.
