Is Tomorrow The Day For the Sprint BlackBery Curve?

Here is little something something we had in our inbox this morning. Is the Sprint BlackBerry Curve going to ship tomorrow? There are so many rumors floating around right now that it is really hard to tell. All I know is that I knew that Sprint wouldn’t get the Curve before Verizon.

It looks like someone over at BGR had this in their inbox this morning as well. Maybe this rumor is true… I guess we will find out tomorrow…

Sprint BlackBerry Curve… Release Date?

Anticipating the rumored release of the Sprint Curve today, I just got off the phone with a representative who informed me that they will not be available until June (so they say…). While Sprint placed some ads out there in the Sunday papers this past weekend, a couple of weeks back I found on the Sprint Store site that the Curve would be released on June 1. Seems they’re sticking by the June time frame. Time will tell, but it’s not today…

Sprint BlackBerry Curve May 7th?

Rumor has it that Sprint BlackBerry Curve ads popped up on newspapers all over the country today. CrackBerry.com had a scan of said ad.

The Sprint BlackBerry Curve will cost $179.99 with a 2-year plan. We knew that. Not only will the Sprint Curve come in Titanium, it will also come in red. We didn’t know that.

Rumors are also floating around that the Sprint Curve will ship on May 7th. We shall surely see come Wednesday.

Sprint BlackBerry Curve In Best Buy Sales Ad

There are two interesting things to notice in this particular ad. First, you will be able to get a Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8330 at Best Buy. Second, said BlackBerry won’t be available until May 1st.

This isn’t definitive proof the Sprint won’t releasing the Curve in April, however, if it does come out today, tomorrow, or Wednesday, the nations biggest electronics chain won’t be the first to offer it.

When Will The Sprint Curve Ship?

We seem to keep going back and forth on the release date of the Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8330.

When Sprint first announced the BlackBerry Curve they said that it would come out in April. Then we heard a lot of rumors that the launch of the Sprint Curve had been delayed, possibly all the way into June. Just the other day Engadget Mobile reported that the Sprint Curve indeed would ship in April. And today, we see that the device won’t be available via the Sprint Store until June 1st.

Now, The Sprint Store technically isn’t Sprint, but, an authorized Sprint reseller. One could gather, however, that if Sprint’s authorized resellers aren’t carrying the device until June, the device probably isn’t coming out until June.

Sprint BlackBerry Curve Still Coming Out In April

There have been a lot of rumors floating around that the release of the Sprint BlackBerry Curve had been delayed, however, the folks of at Engadget Mobile have put those rumors to rest. According to their sources at Sprint the BlackBerry Curve 8330 is still set to make its debut here in the States this month.

Engadget didn’t have an exact date but we predict that the Sprint BlackBerry Curve will ship within the next week and a half.

Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8330 Officially Announced

Well ladies and gentlemen, I am the first one to admit when I am wrong. I still have a hard time believing this, however, Sprint is going to get their branded version of the BlackBerry Curve 8330 out before Verizon.

Although Verizon officially announced their BlackBerry Curve yesterday, the device isn’t coming out until May. Sprint officially announced their BlackBerry Curve today, and, it will be out later this month.

Not only will the Sprint BlackBerry Curve be available this month, it looks a lot better, in my opinion, than the Verizon Curve, and it has a lot more bells and whistles. The Sprint Curve will have the Sprint Music Store, Sprint TV, Sprint Navigation (you may have to pay extra for this), and the on board GPS won’t be locked down (You won’t have to pay extra for this).

On top of all that, the Sprint BlackBerry Curve will only cost $179.99 after instant and mail-in rebates. Granted, this is Sprint and I wouldn’t be shocked at all if some delay cause the 8330 to be pushed back beyond April 30th, however, it sounds and looks like an awfully good deal today.

The Sprint BlackBerry Curve Is Coming

There have been a lot of rumors floating around that Sprint will be releasing the BlackBerry Curve 8330 on their network sometime next month and now that live Sprint BlackBerry Curve pictures are floating around, that rumor seems a bit more plausible. I have to admit, however, that I am still having a hard time imagining that Sprint may come out with the CDMA BlackBerry Curve before Verizon. It is kind of looking that way though…

Unlimited Everything Plans Could Bolster BlackBerry Sales

I was just reading over on BGR how Sprint’s Simply Unlimited Plan does include the BlackBerry (there was confusion on that) and it got me to thinking, the such plans by Sprint and other carriers may actually increase the number of consumers buying BlackBerrys.

There is no doubt that one bar to BlackBerry ownership for many consumers is that the BlackBerry service above and beyond what you pay for everything else is too expensive. Unlimited plans that are inclusive of BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) are much more attractive. The argument that other smartphones will cost you less each month pretty much goes away.

It would be interesting to see if carriers see an uptick in BlackBerry sales after implementing an unlimited plan similar to Sprint.
