The only thing better than a good BlackBerry game is a good free BlackBerry game and it just so happens that, through August 31st, bPlay is offering Pro Golf Paradise for free.
FREE NOW THRU AUGUST 31! Just add the game to your shopping cart with the “Buy Now” option and proceed through a normal purchase. Please note that you must enter a valid credit card upon purchase, even though your card will NOT be charged for this title. Offer not available through the “Try It Now” option.
As of the time of this posting, the bPlay shopping cart seems to be pretty sluggish. I haven’t been able to complete the free purchase. I will check about a little later and let you know how it goes. I can check it out for yourself here…

Stefan from AIM Productions just sent me a press release stating that AIM has just launched their first batch of BlackBerry Games including the Free BlackBerry Game Bubble Popper.
The point of the game is simple: remove bubbles from the grid by double-clicking groups of two or more adjacent, like-colored bubbles. The longer your bubble chains are, the more points you score.
In addition to the free Blackberry game, Bubble Popper, AIM has released 3 other titles which, for a limited time, you can get a 30% discount on through ClickGamer.
To get the 30% discount just enter in the promotion code berry007 at checkout.

Would you like to get a of Monopoly Tycoon for your BlackBerry? Be one of the first 10,000 BlackBerry users to sign up to the BlackBerry Owners Lounge and download a copy for free.
I have to admit, I have no idea how long this limited offer has been available or how many BlackBerry Owners Lounge members have already signed up. My guess, however, is that the number of members is somewhere south of 10,000 seeing how I’ve just downloaded Monopoly Tycoon myself.
I have a saying when it comes to BlackBerry Games. The best type of BlackBerry game is a free BlackBerry game, especially when Bplay would normally charge you $8.99 for it.
Head on over to the BlackBerry Users Lounge, sign up as a member, and download yourself a copy of Monopoly Tycoon while you still can.

It looks like Research in Motion has built a new portal for the North American BlackBerry.com site named Built for BlackBerry.
The new site appears to be a showcase of different types of BlackBerry applications with categories for:
Under each category you will find related trial and free BlackBerry applications for you to use on your device. Built for BlackBerry seems to aimed at the consumer BlackBerry user, however, corporate users will enjoy the site as well if their companies allow them to install third party software to their devices.

Well, they probably don’t want to take it away, however, I am sure that Atari would like to get paid royalties for BrickBreaker as well as Meteor Crusher. The company is claiming the games infringe on the copyrights of Breakout and Asteroids, respectively.
Fortunately for Research in Motion they’ve won the latest round in their legal dispute with Atari.
Last year, RIM asked the court for a declaration that its games do not violate the copyright on the classic arcade games that gobbled many a quarter in the 1970s. The Waterloo company says it filed the court action in response to legal threats from Atari, now based in New York.
Atari requested to have the court dispute dismissed or moved to the United States, however, Superior Court Judge Harvey Spiegel refused the request.
I can kind of see where Atari is coming from with Meteor Crusher, however, BrickBreaker, although is in the same genre as Breakout, the game really is different.
