For all of you Fantasy Football addicts out their, Yahoo has released Y! Fantasy Football ‘09 on BlackBerry App World.
Features of the Y! Fantasy Football ’09 app include:
Live Scoring: Free this year! Follow your team as the games happen – in real time.
Roster Management: Quarterback injured? No problem. Bench him and start your backup right from your phone.
Add and drop players: No longer happy with your running back? Simple. Drop him from your team and search for a new one.
Matchups: Not sure who you play next week? No need to stop what you’re doing, just grab your BlackBerry and check.
My one complaint is that Yahoo Fantasy Football for BlackBerry is only supported on Bold, Curve 8900, and Tour. They need to come out with a version for every BlackBerry with a trackball, trackpad, or touchscreen. If, however, you have one of these devices and play Fantasy Football on Yahoo Sports, it is pretty much a no brainer that you should dowload Y! Fantasy Football ‘09 immediately.
BlackBerry App World is o.k., however, if you want the opportunity to download from thousands of premium and free blackberry applications, you will want to check out the RIMarkable on-device BlackBerry AppStore.

Remember the Executor keychain from back in the day? You know, the one that made all those cool sound effects like sirens, machine guns, phasers and more? I believe it was 8 sound effects in all. I spent many an afternoon in recess detention because I couldn’t resist shooting and dropping bombs on my 6th grade math teacher Mrs. Richardson.
Well, genuises at Generation Media Group, have come out with a superdee duperdee way to cross an Executor keychain with a Blackberry and have come out with bbExecutor, arguably the best BlackBerry application ever developed…
that crosses an Executor keychain with a BlackBerry.
I have a saying. The only thing better than a good BlackBerry game is a good free BlackBerry game and there is a pretty cool looking one out for the BlackBerry Bold, Storm, and Curve 8900 from CrucialSoft called RHex.
RHex kind of has a Tetris like feel to it as the object is to explode falling hexagons by connecting four or more in a row. Instead of sliding the falling hexagons left or right you stack them on top of a central hex by rotating it. Check the video out after the jump to get a better feel for it.
We just stumbled upon a free puzzle game for the the BlackBerry Storm called Lights Out. The goal of the game is to turn off the lights by clicking on them. When you click on a light to toggle it, it also toggles the lights next to it vertically and horizontally. The video below gives you a pretty good idea of what you are in for.
We have a little saying around here that the only thing better than a good BlackBerry game is a good FREE BlackBerry game. If you have an older model BlackBerry (not a Pearl Flip, Bold, Curve 8900, or Storm) you can download 3 free BlackBerry Games from bPlay.

I’ve played all three games, and, usually games of this quality come with a price tag. Trust me when I tell you that they are worth the time it takes to download them.
There is s free Solitaire game for the BlackBerry Storm floating around called Solytare and, although it isn’t the prettiest Solitare game out there, it isn’t half bad once you start playing it.
Rumor has it that Solytare runs well on the BlackBerry Curve 8900 in as well, so, if you have a BlackBerry Storm or a BlackBerry 8900, check Solytare out.
