Today’s BlackBerry Deal of the Day is a a BlackBerry utility that I personally use on my device. BerryBuzz 2.0, regularly $5.95, for a limited time is just $2.97. That is 50% off the regular price and the deal lasts through today only.
BerryBuzz 2.0 extends the native BlackBerry alert system allowing you create repeating audible reminders for all alert types as well as customize the color of the flashing LED when alerts are triggered. Additionally BerryBuzz allows your BlackBerry to vibrate and ring simultaneously which, for the life of us, we can’t figure out why RIM hasn’t included this functionality into the BlackBerry’s native OS.
You can check out the full list of BerryBuzz 2.0 features after the jump, or, you could just head over to to the RIMarkable Store and try out the free trial for yourself. Just remember that the Deal of the Day 50% off special pricing of $2.97 lasts today only so don’t wait. Check out BerryBuzz 2.0 now…

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is now available on Vodafone UK for FREE! with select service plans. This isn’t the first free BlackBerry Curve 8520 that we’ve seen, however, it is the first one to be offered free by a major carrier. I wonder if we will see T-Mobile completely subsidize the price of their banded 8520 before too long?

You read the title correctly… Slacker, you know, the company that makes the really cool internet radio app for the BlackBerry, is offering free BlackBerry Curve 83xx devices on all 4 major U.S. carriers. What is better more is that, less signing up to a new 2-year activation with whichever carrier you decide to go with, there are no strings attached.

We thought that the Wal-Mart deal on the T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8520 for $48.88 was a good one. That was until we heard that Amazon is offering the Curve 8520 for 1 cent on a new 2-year contract.
If you are interested in getting a new T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8520 for practically free you would do yourself well to check out this deal at Amazon.

Something is telling me the the BlackBerry Curve 8520, expected to be available this Wednesday, Aug 5th, will sell pretty well. Now, I will qualify this by saying the it will sell pretty well by T-Mobile standards, however, with a sub $50 price tag at Wal-Mart, this device should do well with tweens that want to get a cool phone, but, their parent’s won’t shell out the cash for an iPhone.

Well, it looks like Verizon is either a) making room for a bunch of new handsets, b) trying to deal with the $99 iPhone 3G, or c) probably a combination of both a and b. Every smartphone that Verizon currently carries less the BlackBerry Tour and the Samsung Saga is now $99 or less on a 2-year activation.
