I agree, a webkit browser along with a big touch screen is the key. My 9700's screen is far too small compared to my iphone. Launch a touch screen on a carrier other then Verizon, and I will concede.

A better browser is going to help Robb, but the idea of browsing the web on a Blackberry Tour (or other small screen Blackberry device) is never going to be great due to the size of the screen and the lack of touchscreen on most Blackberry devices.

I use the Blackberry browser every once in a while to check something (sports scores, search google, etc). Even if the browser was more polished I wouldn't use it anymore. Just too small to do much with.

I don't disagree with this point on the current BlackBerry Browser, however, if what RIM showed at MWC 2010 turns out to be as good as what everyone says it is, "on par with if not better than mobile safari", do you think that the millions of BlackBerry users that currently don't browse the web via their devices, may start to?

There are tens of millions of BlackBerry users that rarely, if ever, browse the web from their BlackBerry. I dare say that the new BlackBerry Browser will cause a significant shift in this chart. Apple will still be number one, but, I doubt that they will keep more than 50% of the total share.
