Yesterday, Research in Motion said that exciting things were coming to BlackBerry Messenger in the days and weeks ahead and they’ve wasted no time in making good on their promise. Today on the official BlackBerry Facebook page RIM announced the BlackBerry Barcode Generator, a Facebook application that allows you to use your BlackBerry PIN to create a BBM barcode that you can:
- Show it off on your Facebook profile pic
- Feature it on your Facebook profile page
- Share it on your BlackBerry screen

Wow!, thats really exciting. Too bad you could already do that. RIM, where the mondain is transfered into earth shattering hype. I guess when you have a mediocre product that’s light years behind the competition, you do what you can. I put this in the same BS category as “super apps”.
