A Render Of BlackBerry 10 L-Series Devices The Next-Gen BlackBerry Looking Pretty Good

September 19, 2012 by Robb Dunewood 4 Comments

There are more than just a few photos of the BlackBerry 10 L-Series device floating around the interwebs, however, this render by @Gustavitt, has the device looking pretty sharp in both black and white.

It looks like the next generation, BB10 powered, BlackBerry devices are going to have the look to compete with the iPhones, Androids, and Windows Phones of the world.  The book is still open on the software and apps, but, we are hearing positive things…

Do you know if one of this will come as a slider, and, when are they coming out.

Also, is the the BlackBerry that will run Android Apps? I’ve been thinking about getting an Android, but, I’d rather have BlackBerry that could just run Android Apps…

The best way to answer your question is to say sort of.

BlackBerry 10 will have the ability to play Android Apps that have been “converted” (I know converted isn’t technically accurate, but, best explains what is necessary for most who ask this question) by their developers and placed on BlackBerry App World.
You will not just able to side load Android Apps or install them from Google Play or the Amazon App Store.
Additionally, Android apps that rely significantly on Android OS integration, for their operation won’t run.
You must get Android Apps directly from BlackBerry App World and you may not even be able to tell that they indeed are Android Apps once you install them…
        Hope this explains…
