I am relucatant to put any unofficial updates on my phone as the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Anyone have a clue as to when we might see this officially released?

Yes, you need to reactivate. But it takes very little time as if you backed it up, there is very little info to sync but it will re-enable your email address on the Exchange server.

As far as the update, you will definitely notice that it takes a much shorter time (maybe 20-30 mins) and a chunk of that time os the backup and restore process. RIM has managed to speed this process up significantly.

I applied this and I am not finding a huge difference – but my storm seemed to be one of the good ones out of the box. I did not have any of the standard issues everyone has been talking about before upgrading. There is already a .76 OS out there but I would imagine VZ would release the .75 version first. The good news is that this device will get much better over time as the OS gets tuned.

In general: If you update the OS of a BB you need to activate it afterwards.

I have no clue how it works with the wireless Update, or the autoupdate in the Desktop Manager.

I know that this doesn’t definitively answer your question, but, I just installed 4.7.0.75 and I had to add my yahoo and gmail accounts back to my BIS settings.

I am guessing that you will need to have your Blackberry administrator set your account up again.
