First there was Verizon, then Sprint, and now TELUS officially announces the eventual release of the BlackBerry Curve 8330. That just leaves a few more North American CDMA based carriers like Bell Mobility, Alltel, and Willie Wayne’s Wireless Mobile Mart to announce the BlackBerry Curve 8830.
No one has actually given an official launch date although, Sprint is saying their version will come out this month. We’ll have to wait and see with the TELUS version comes out.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I am the first one to admit when I am wrong. I still have a hard time believing this, however, Sprint is going to get their branded version of the BlackBerry Curve 8330 out before Verizon.
Although Verizon officially announced their BlackBerry Curve yesterday, the device isn’t coming out until May. Sprint officially announced their BlackBerry Curve today, and, it will be out later this month.
Not only will the Sprint BlackBerry Curve be available this month, it looks a lot better, in my opinion, than the Verizon Curve, and it has a lot more bells and whistles. The Sprint Curve will have the Sprint Music Store, Sprint TV, Sprint Navigation (you may have to pay extra for this), and the on board GPS won’t be locked down (You won’t have to pay extra for this).
On top of all that, the Sprint BlackBerry Curve will only cost $179.99 after instant and mail-in rebates. Granted, this is Sprint and I wouldn’t be shocked at all if some delay cause the 8330 to be pushed back beyond April 30th, however, it sounds and looks like an awfully good deal today.

We’re not quite sure what took them so long, however, Research in Motion has launched the official BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
The forum looks like it was just started today as I cannot find any posts dated before April 1st. I do have to apologize because I cannot remember where I first heard about this. It may have been an email from a reader or the BlackBerry Connection Newsletter.
So far the BlackBerry Support Community Forums appear to be a hit. There are over 100 registered users and over 500 guest logged in as I write this post. There are already several dozen threads and a couple of hundred posts.
Since these forums are run by Research in Motion, I wonder if they will control the amount of leaked information that you can find on the threads. I was not able to use the name RIMarkable as my logon name when I created my account. I find that kind of interesting.

I was just listening to Squawk Box on CNBC and one of their analysts attributed RIM’s upward moving stock price to good feelings about the BlackBerry 9000. They mentioned BGR’s First Impressions of the BlackBerry 9000 then called the device an iPhone Killer.
I know that it is just about 8:00 in the morning, however, I think that this is probably the most ridiculous thing that I will here all day.
Calling the BlackBerry 9000 an iPhone killer is just as bad as calling the iPhone a BlackBerry killer.
Even though RIM decided to put the suckiest keyboard that they’ve ever come up with on the BlackBerry 9000, a faster processor, 3G, and a new OS sporting a web browser they actually put some thought into will probably make the BlackBerry 9000 a hit. An iPhone Killer though? I think not.
